The Aura Barrel Vault canopy design provides a cost-effective and versatile way to cover large areas, providing a tensioned fabric structure with a simple and sophisticated design.
The linear plan of the Barrel Vault offers a symmetrical and curved aesthetic for a large clear span space, with a choice of widths and lengths to suit your needs. As with all of our designs, the Barrel Vault allows you a choice of fabric colour and the ability to select any standard RAL colour for your frame. All with an expected 20+ year life span.
Our Wolverhampton Market project demonstrates how fabric colours can be combined and used to add style and personality to your structure. An ETFE roof can also be specified if a glazed effect is required. What makes the Aura Barrel Vault design so unique is the cutting-edge engineering of the perimeter beam. Not only does this serve as a structural gutter, handling rainwater, but it has been thoughtfully devised to allow the post spacing to be manipulated in line with the design requirements that are unique to each site. This gives us the flexibility to design your posts to ground around your specific needs; for example, any utilities in the ground, windows and doors or even a required access width. So, no matter how complex you think your needs may be, you will find that our vast experience enables us to come up with a practical and cost-effective solution for your vision.
The span of the Aura Barrel Vault design can be specified between 2.5m and 25m and allows for any length you require. Multiple structures can be linked in bays resulting in a covered area as large as you need. Finally, the perimeter beam of the Aura design lends itself very well to walling systems in glass, fabric or polycarbonate.
