Installation

When you buy a canopy or tensile fabric structure from Aura you get a complete turnkey solution. The structure will usually be made in the UK and will be installed between 4 and 10 weeks from order by our highly experienced installation team. The installation can take place at a time to suit you, for example our education customers usually want the work completed at weekends or school holidays, while hospitality customers prefer to select their quieter trading days such as Monday or Tuesday. Whatever your business please let us know what would suit you best and we will do our utmost to accommodate you – installations have even be completed overnight.

Safety accredited

As you would expect all of our installation team are Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked (previously CRB) and hold CSCS cards (Construction Industry Training Board Construction skills Certification Scheme). Our Site Managers hold their Site Manager or Site Supervisor qualifications.

Aura has been awarded accreditation from Safecontractor for our commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety. Under the Safecontractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice, in fact Aura are proud to hold a blemish free health and safety record. Those companies meeting the high standard are awarded accreditation.

The schedule onsite

You might be surprised to hear that it is usually possible to install 100m2 of covered space in a single day. The foundations will be installed at least one week before the structure in order to allow the concrete to cure correctly before the structure can be secured to it. You will receive our Risk Assessment and Method Statement documents well before the installation date (as is standard practice for the construction industry) for approval and sign off so that you are fully aware of how we intend to carry out the works.

Once the installation is completed we can arrange for the ground surface to be reinstated as original or for your chosen covering to be laid for example tarmac, paving or soft play surface. We will of course ensure that we always leave the site as we found it.

If you are a prospective Education customer we will be pleased to discuss the possibility of using the canopy installation as an opportunity for learning. We can give seminars on how a tensile fabric structure works; making the learning fun and interactive or we can provide talks on health and safety aspects of construction.
